So I got a Qiyi Clock a couple of months ago. I had never tried a Clock, so didn't notice that it was unusually slow. When I recently tried somebody else's Clock, theirs was so much faster and better that my PB went straight from 8.89 to 7.40 in about 10 solves. I tried loosening it, but it hasn't changed. Does anybody know what the issue may be?

My clock isn't the fastest either, I thought it was normal. If your clock is really loose, turning would be worse. Maybe yours has stronger magnets \_`'_/

Do the tape mod, simple answer.

The tape mod doesnt make the clock way faster...

anyway. My reccommendation is to lubricate your clock. You want to open up the clock and rake all the small clock out. Grab something like kitchen paper. Put some weight 5 lube on it and spread the lube around the side using the paper. Then do an drop on the other side of the paper and do it on the other case thing. Now close it up and just break it in.

Or... just watch this video.

Also use tape mod, and maybe do center mod, center mod is that you push down the magnets in the center with something small like a thumbtack.
