That helps, I'm sure. But for me, the thing that would make the difference would be to improve the qualification limits for FMC and multi. I just can't see paying the money (mainly hotel and travel) for a big competition like that where I can't compete in either of those events.

I admit I understand that multi is hard to run. If they stick with strict limits on that, at least it's understandable. But top 30 on FMC? Why? is it really that hard to check 100 or even 200 solutions per day? They only do one solve per day so they could take all night to check them. I'm guessing it's because of the size of a side room, combined with their desire not to have events at or after dinner. But I for one would much rather have the FMC at night and be able to participate - then they could just have it in the main room and have hundreds compete.

The new qualification times do let me in for 4x4x4 and OH, which is nice. But FMC would mean a lot more to me.

This is the North American, as well as USA national championship.

It will be hosted in Minneapolis and will start July 18th
I wanted to go, and my schedule allows it. But I can't afford the registration fee + travel for something like that. I probably wouldn't qualify either.

While I think Dom getting last is reasonable, I think he's capable of a sub 7 avg in finals
