The cube i got is an rs3mv5 I did my first 3x3 ao5 and got two 14s, a 19, a 16, and a 15. Bingus is up rn

Yeah, I biffed a u perm. I ran into max park in the hallway and said hi. Super cool. 2x2 finals is on rn. Hoping to judge finals

alr everyone I'm home from the LA Newcomers. One of the best days of my life ngl. it was so organized. I knew exactly what to do and everyone was so nice. I even ran into Max Park in the hallway...but that's not all.

So, to cut to the chase, they ranked the newcomers aside from the veterans, and the events were 2,3,4, and pyra. Of the newcomers, I got first place in 2x2, first place in 4x4, and second place in pyra (I didn't even practice lol). So yeah, I've got some giftcards coming in the email lol, and I got my 15 minutes of fame. midway through the comp, Max's mom actually wanted to talk to me, and she was really nice. She had gotten acquainted with my mom and just wanted to meet me which was so cool. After awards, this guy came up to me and congratulated me...and I realized it was Max's dad lol, and he brought Max over and Max congratulated me and stuff (will share pictures). yeah, I had a lot of fun today.

I also had a blast with @Bingus Ringus McDingus. one of the coolest dude's I've ever met tbh. I also traded one of my wrm's for a valk 3 (so yeah, I've got a valk now).

now let's talk about judging. hoo boy I did a lot of this lol. it's pretty fun. I got to judge a lot of world classers including Nanci Liu. I even got a picture with Shane and the korean 2x2 nr holder. unfortunately I had to give a finalist in 3x3 a dnf average (he knocked over the cube cover).

okay, they published the results for the comp I went to and here is a recap of how i did:

In 3x3, I got 69th place out of 237 competitors.
In 2x2, I got 44th place out of 178 competitors.
In 4x4, I got 40th place out of 114 competitors.
In pyraminx, I got 45th out of 137 competitors.

Also, I got my wca ID so I will link that to my profile.

The funniest thing is that I did not...I repeat did not practice pyraminx, and only spent one day on 2x2. and somehow made newcomer podium in both with first place 2x2 and second place pyra. Looking back tho, i think I was the least stressed in those events ngl.
