does anyone know of an online timer that counts the seconds outloud? I think this might be really helpful since I like to look at the time on my timer, but that wastes time.
my internet (and computer closest to my eyes ha!')) is my android phone
...so sometimes I use an app called Natural Metronome
and that seems to work pretty well, adjustable for # of beats (tocks) per minute, with variable sounds to choose from (I use the thwock! wood sound

)
pretty sure there are PC apps and also websites with something like that going on...
It feels tk me like there is mote going on in solving that gets wasted than just time
...when you look up from the cube to see the time(r),
-- yes you do take extra time during the solve to do that
-- you also take your eyes and your physical attention away from the cube solve
-- and you also distract, or un-track, your interal attention and orientation away from the solve you were doing before
It also feels like there is a loss of coherency and maybe even muscle-memory action
-- which probably creates some new muscle-memory of fumbling stumbling trying to get back on that bike bad kinda memory
