The only way you could get Sub-2 with the 7 Move Solution without One-Looking (No way you one-looked a 3-move V without taking at least a minute if you average 8) is that A: You turn like Ezra or B: You had some INSANE recognition. Sorry @TheSpeedSkewber for putting this since it is kind of unrelated to your Progression.

I never do pyra, am probably not even sub 8 (ok, sub 7 according to comp results which was with a better pyra than mine), and in the minimalistic number of practice solves I've done I've 1looked several of them. I'll try this scramble when I get home and see if I can onelook it. Pyraminx is an extremely simplistic puzzle for which doesn't require a lot of thinking to trace through a few moves, and with a lucky scramble anyone with a bit of practice can onelook.
That's my one fiftieth of a dollar
