Upcoming puzzles

Cameron said that he likes the maglev version the least, but note that he is actually maining a diansheng
I mean, assuming you're talking about the ms3x, it honestly fills that niche for a 55.5mm cube that is similar to GAN. It turns like a softer and more compact XS, which makes sense given that MSCube's designer was working for GAN around that time.

While I think some of the features are too faint to be noticed, I overall like the feel and performance so it's my main as well (With the Air M (the non-adjustable XS one) as my backup funnily enough).

If you can turn a 356XS fine, the MS3X is a lot like an alternate GAN 11 if Corner-Core never became a thing.

I’ve just checked and that’s a ms3x.

I have the GAN 11 mini M Pro, but I prefer the Tornado v3 Pioneer and the Moretry Tianma x3 Snap over the GAN 11 mini M Pro for 2 handed, even though the GAN 11 mini M Pro is my OH main.

Would you recommend me getting the ms3x?

I mean, feel free to try it, but I personally think that you're better off with the cubes that you have.
As it's basically a GAN analogue, it has a lot of the benefits of having a GAN, that being the unparallelled fluidity, but it also has the downside of not being all that forgiving to more heavy and aggressive turning styles like the Tianma and Tornado V3 are.

I find it actually hilarious, though. There was a time where I absolutely was unable to turn GAN cubes. Now I have one as a backup, and I'm considering picking up a GAN or two more now that my turning style evolved to allow me to benefit from GAN.

I regularly use the Tornado v3, but if I feel irritable that day, I perform better on the tianma as it can cut nearly 45 reverse

That's much less corner cutting and more of the ring magnets in action auto-aligning the cube in place.

If you want a full feel for the tianma's raw mechanism, the single, standard-magnetic variant is the one to get.

I think it does mean something as there are not many 3x3s that can corner cut over line to line reverse including the latest GANs. Like the new ShengShou YuFeng 3x3 M also has similar auto aligning system, but it still struggles cutting half piece reverse.

that just goes to show how well moretry did theirs! :D

As from what I’ve heard about the YS3M, the plastic used is the same as the rs3m2020

A much higher quality video on the YS3M from the Cubicle, but I think SCS vids has actually improved a bit imo, but tbh this Cubicle video is definitely one of the highest quality cube video lately

Got to touch one of the Huamengs while scrambling at a comp (I don't remember whose (might've been Yusheng's, lol), and I don't know which version), and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Then again, how much of an opinion can you form by touching a cube for less than ten seconds, without even solving it…
Was it the ball core version with teal internals?
