Left is usually better for oh, because R, and U moves are easier to execute with your left hand. But there may some exceptions.

I'm left-handed, but I started out doing OH with my right hand in ~2013 because I was getting frequent nosebleeds and would hold the tissue with my left hand. Then in 2019 I realized that my OH fingertricks were definitively horrible and it would be easier to switch hands and start fresh than to unlearn old habits on the same hand, so I switched to left-handed OH solving and learned better fingertricks. Despite all that, OH is still my worst-ranked event by far, but on the bright side, I haven't had a nosebleed in years :P

I use my left hand as well. It keeps my OH solves as close to my 2H solves as possible. I've also done Roux RH solves before, but I just can't solve FB on the right anywhere near as well as I can on the left.

This poll might have been more useful if it included four options (dominant hand × OH solving hand).

(Then there's also the rare few people who are right-dominant for most tasks but left-dominant when it comes to (2H) cubing, or vice versa.)

I'm right handed and I use right handed algs so I use my left hand for OH. Did anybody know if jperm uses his left or right hand because he uses algs with L moves

I don't know how to solve OH but I've been practicing OH turning with my left hand. That being said I'm cross-handed but I usually prefer my right hand for writing so it doesn't really make sense
