Speedcubing in Jperm's basement
Hi, I am Fire Cubing, a Speedcuber and a gamer.

I started Speedcubing at June of 2021, right after I managed to solve my first Rubik's brand. My first actual Speedcube is the Gan 356 RS, which wasn't magnetic. Right after that, I got a Yuxin Little Magic 2x2 and my first magnetic Speedcube, the RS3M 2020. The RS3M 2020 was replaced a month or two later with the RS3M 2021 MagLev, which performed well. But, my parents gave me the Gan 12 MagLev as a gift for Christmas, so it's now my main cube. I heard the Gan 12 wasn't that great because of a catching problem that J perm demonstrated and incredibly strong magnets, but it actually fits my incredibly aggressive turning style. And for the catching problem, there's none on mine.

Anyway, I am a sub 17 3x3 solver and my PB is 8.641.
I also plan to start a yt channel soon, but not right now, since I have school.

I will enjoy my stay in this wholesome community!

Nice intro, welcome to the forums!
Thank you!
CFOP. Roux. ZZ. Petrus.
Long ago, the four methods lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when Fire Cubing attacked. Only Tao Yu, master of all four methods, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished.

Welcome to the forum! Don't be too destructive 😳.

Same, it didnt also happen on mine. Prob a defect on the manufacturing? Anyway, the Gan 12 is really good in my opinion and fits my turning style.
yea but getting used to like the old cubes and having a relatively strong turning style and then now the gan 12 turning is like so effortless at first i keep screwing up becoz of overturn and dnf and +2 but gotten used to it alr (not a 100% tho but still yes)

Im sort of in the newer generation of cubers, and I like to put my cubes in the loosest settings and I like very strong magnets. So, Gan 12 is a very easy cube to get used to, especially since I like ultra fast cubes.

loosest setting be like: coob snaps back at 45°
i put mine to j perms favourite setting coz it ended up being mine too
btw j perms favourite setting is 2 and 2 clicks frm the bottom for anyone who need (you’re welcome)

For gan 12 i dont put it on the loose setting anymore, I put it on the third click of the bottom magnet (forgot what its called)

As you have recently switched to RSM 2021 from RSM 2020, can you please explain in detail what are the differences in the two cubes, as well as their respective pros and cons. Actually, I also use the RSM 2020, and I am planning to get the RSM 2021 in the near future.

anyway, welcome!

I recommend you replace the RS3M 2020 with the 2021 when you have been already using the 2020 for more than 3 or 4 months.
The RS3M 2021 is basically the RS3M 2020, but faster and there's no spring noise. I personally prefer the 2021 because it is a little more effortless when it comes to turning. Only get it when you have the money, though.
