I am a colour-blind cuber with a sub-30 average and a collection of well looked after cubes. Is there anybody like me that can give me advice on how to get faster? I really struggle with getting faster and need help. Please could somebody tell me what to do or where to look ahead of the British National Colourblind Cuber's Championships. And one more thing, if you are a colourblind cuber, please can you give me tips on the right solving path. Currently I use CFOP but I was wondering if anything else would be better!

I’m not colourblind but maybe I can offer some advice.
If you think it’s generic stuff holding you back, try looking at some good guides here on the forums like thishttps://www.speedsolving.com/threads/help-for-cubers-who-want-to-beat-sub-x-cfop.77867/
If you think it’s more recognition based, you could try getting cubes/stickers with more distinct shades of your choice, or even just stickerless cubes with good shades.

Some shops have a really wide variety of sticker shades, and I’m sure you can find something

Thanks, do you know any colour blind cubers?

Do you have severe colorblindness or mild. Also what colors? I'm Deuteranopia, strong, but try to get bright colors that stand out against other colors. That really helps for me.

Hey, I’m not color blind but I’ve been working on optimizing color schemes for different puzzles. I’m not sure what kind of color blindness you have, but I would recommend white opposite black, Fluro green opposite light blue, and fluro yellow opposite fluro pink. That should help a lot with increasing color recognition/distinctiveness without being difficult to switch to from the normal scheme. It took me about a day to adjust to it after 5 years of using the normal color scheme. You can probably get an idea on how it would look from my profile icon.

I can't speak from experience, but you can get a stickered cube and get a custom color scheme, like OreKehStrah uses an epic color scheme. btw I am in Utah, so if you live here too that is noice(your username looks like it says Utahn).

you should try a coler blind cube.
Btw this thread is a month old and the OP was last seen then as well
They’re probs not going to see this anyway.

Plus, would you like to try and find a colourblind cube available to buy? I’m sure the OP’s thought of it before but you never know. Stickers are probably easier to get

I’m red/green colourblind. The only cube I have had trouble with is most megaminxes (the yellow/green colours on the cube barely have a difference for me). Probably the reason I don’t really do megaminx. If what’s holding you back from getting faster is something general, there are plenty of threads that others have linked that can help. If you think it is your colourblindness, consider ordering some custom stickers for a stickered cube.
