L5EP skip, no AUF, no ADF

Getting extremely lucky solves in a row on this thread. These aren't exactly representative of the actual method.

Sorry - my fault.o_O

But honestly I don't think it is just luck of your scrambles. I rotate your solve in a way to get the 1st block on my left hand side like Rouxers would do. And I pre-rotate the scramlbe to have white or yellow for bottom color. This is what I can see as I am only xy2 cn. And I am always impressed how efficient your intuitive steps are. At least after I tried to make the same 1st block from same scramble and I never beat you. But I am happy and proud if I find same or equal solution.

Thanks for that; though my solves normally are in the 45 ballpark so a 30-35 move solution cannot be based solely on efficiency. But yes, for a 1x2x3, being fully CN seems to make a world of a difference because every CE-pair can be used in 4 different ways (compared to 1-2 for x2y)

"Meta Mehta"

y2 // inspection
M' B2 U' L B2 // FB+1e (5/5)
u' R U R u R2 // +2e (6/11)
F' U F2 R F' R' // EOLE (6/17)
R' U' R U' R' U2 R' U' R2 // DR-block (9/26)
R2 D R' U2 R D' R' U' R' U R U2 R' // ZBLL (13/39)
E' // ABF (1/40)
(35 STM with cancellations)

This is basically the ZB-equivalent of Mehta, where after EO-ledge, we solve the DR-block with 1 alg (2-gen 9-mover, ~400 cases), and end up with ZBLL (~500 cases). HARCS gives sub-40 movecount. Better names coming soon.

Roux with easy EO and skip of LR and L4E
Code:
x2 y                   // inspection
L D M D2 M2' D'        // L block  |  8h 11q  6s  8qs

r' U r U2 R2' F R F' R // CMLL     |  9h 11q  9s 11qs
M' U M U2              // LSE      |  6h  7q  4s  5qs
                       // total    | 41h 51q 35s 43qs

Rotation free 35 STM (QSTM)

And skipping out moves is whopping 25 STM:
Code:
x2 y               // inspection
L D M D2 M2' D'    // L block  |  8h 11q  6s  8qs
r' U M2' U2 r U r' // R square |  8h 11q  7s  9qs
U R' U r           // R pair   |  4h  4q  4s  4qs
R2' F R F' r       // CMLL     |  5h  6q  5s  6qs
U M U2             // LSE      |  4h  5q  3s  4qs
                   // total    | 29h 37q 25s 31qs

CFOP, because cross is half solved (not my method so I had to look up ZBLL)
Code:
x2 y'                              // inspection
D R L F' L' D                      // pseudo cross |  6s  6qs
R' F U R F' D2                     // 1st pair     |  6s  7qs
y' R U' R2' U R U L U L'           // 2nd+3rd pair |  9s 10qs
U' R' U2 R U R' U' R               // 4th pair     |  8s  9qs
F D' F2 U' L2 U' L2 F U2 F2 D F2 U // ZBLL         | 13s 19qs
                                   //              | 42s 51qs

Mehta, 2-Look, because Dvagio posted a youtube-tutorial :D. Feels totally weird and I started Roux-like and then just turned the cube into EO step. But hey!!! I made it :cool:
Code:
y x2                             // inspection
R D M' D2 M2 D'                  // L block           |  6s  8qs
U l' U L' U' M U' L U l2 U L' U' // Ring              | 13s 14qs
z f R U R' U' f'                 // Roux->Mehta + EO  |  6s  6qs
R2 U2 R2 U R' U L U' R U L'      // 6CO 1st Look (AS) | 11s 14qs
R2 F U' R2 U R2 U F' R2          // 6CO 2nd Look      |  9s 13qs
D R2' U' R2' U R2' D' R2'        // 6CP               |  8s 12qs
U' M' U M2 U M2 U M' U2 M2       // EPLL              | 10s 14qs
                                 //                   | 63s 81qs
A bit too much moves, but my 1st Roux solves weren't better, nor were my 1st CFOP tries.

Here's an example where all variations give a similar movecount, close to average (except tdr of course).

That's an insanely lucky solve lmaooo nice :) (33 moves howwww??? :eek:)

I'm going to give this weird "Metha" method a try.....

(y2 z')
U2 L R2 u R' S // FB (6/6)
u R U R E2 R' E' // 3QB (7/13)
R S R S' R' // EOLE (5/18)

30 moves hehe ;)

Oops I accidentally quoted the last post on the previous page lol

Anyone else done that? :p

Here's another solve using this weird "Metha" method:

D R' U' M2 U L // FB (6/6)
y' D R z // 3QB (2/8)
f' U f // EOLE (3/11)
R' U' R' u' R2 F' U' // 6CO (7/18)
F' U R2 F2 U' R2 U2 y' R2 U' R2 U' R2 // 6CP+L5EP (12/30)

Another 30 yey

I finished EOLE in just 11 moves, but then the rest was kinda unlucky so no sub-30.

I couldn't really find anything great after that but F' D leaves 5e5c in 10
