Or PauOr you could just use Poux
Is that an acronym for..Or Pau
Its Yau thats modified to be used with Petrus. I made a post about it hereIs that an acronym for..
(P) eople should
(A) lways
(U) se petrus
?
1. F2C // Standard F2C nothing fancy here
2. 2x2 edges // Make the 3 edges used in your 2x2 like you would in yau for cross in the same position as cross
3. L4C // Do this exactly like yau
4 Solve 2x2 // Solve the 2x2 block like you would in petrus
5 2-2-2-3 // Solve 2 edges using a 3 cycle and put those in the bottom slots, then proceed to do 3-2-3 but there is a pre-solved edge so its actually 2-2-3
6 3x3 stage // Self explanitory
6a Parity // Recognize OLL parity during your EO and use a shorter alg than the standard Drew or Lucas parity. PLL parity should be taken care of during PLL
If this method does not already exist I would like to coin the name of the method as Pau (Pronounced POW)
That's pretty awesome. What are your thoughts on 4trus in comparison? Its Yau thats modified to be used with Petrus. I made a post about it here
It’s kind of dead and old thoughWhy though? There's already a Petrus discussion thread
It's pretty similar but making the 2x2 before the rest of the edges is a little bit better IMO, and 2-2-2-3 isn't awful by any means. I also don't agree with doing COLL since OLL+PLL is much better, even with PLL parity in mind. There is a little bit more fumbling around with the 3x3 stage in 4trus compared to Pau since the 2x2 isn't made until the reduction stage is over, so it almost defeats the purpose of Yau giving you a head start in the 3x3 stage. That's pretty awesome. I would agree, back when I used 4trus the transition from redux to 3x3 was easily the worst part. Do you know anything about Pet5? And why do you prefer OLL/PLL to COLL/EPLL ?It's pretty similar but making the 2x2 before the rest of the edges is a little bit better IMO, and 2-2-2-3 isn't awful by any means. It seems a little bit weird, and I would probably just use Redux. I haven't tried a solve with it but the fact that I haven't seen it used speaks that its probably not very goodDo you know anything about Pet5?
1. Less algorithmswhy do you prefer OLL/PLL to COLL/EPLL ?
(Insert laugh emoji)and debatably Ga and Gd.
3. Z perms are worse than 1/2 of the other PLLs and it's not worthing doing a worse alg just to do a Z perm when you could have done a quicker alg and gotten an A perm. The same thing applies to H perm but the only algs that are better are A, U, T, J, and debatably Ga and Gd.
Yes, Yes they are. I'll take screenshots of my J perm trainer.Your PLL times are seriously messed up
that is easy but just use the best algRip sub 2 plls because of the N Perm
Not that I can. Try sub 2ing (R' U L' U2 R U' L)2
Geez my z perm is faster than yours??? What is wrong with this world???Yes, Yes they are. I'll take screenshots of my J perm trainer.
Sorted by average time. Holy crap I really need to start doing double flick D moves. My Aa is so bad
Why I don't do 3x3: In a Nutshell
Use F and B moves to flip edges and the EO is relative to the RUL layers, assuming the 2x2x3 is in backhow do you do the ZZ EO in Petrus W, since I want to try it
Who knows? I dunno.thanks
what's the best single by a petrus w solver?
