I'm not very good at learning algs, and I'm up to the stage where I think I should start with full pll. I've heard about people using notebooks to write down algs, how well does it work? And is it worth doing it? Normally to get an alg into my brain I write it on my hand and then if I get the case I look at my hand and do the alg.

Personally I just used cyothekings algorithm sheet and learnt one or two at a time. All up it took around 5 hours of actual learning, the rest was procrastinating. Once you get the algorithms into your fingers its so much easier to memorise. You can do this by spamming TPS

Learning one or two at at time for me is impossible. My brain just doesn't like doing it. One at a time I think, and I think I really just need to figure out how to fingertrick it properly to get it set in my mind, so yes to spamming TPS! But I really think I need longer than that to learn all the algs. Like I said, I'm not great at it like you.

You could. I did it in 5 days, just do it a section at a time. I used cyothekings website, the wiki, jperms video, z3cubings video, and algdb.net Recently I changed some with Jperms website, which could be very useful if you are learning it
