Why Cubing get boring?

I am cubing for 5 months. Since I feel that in the first three months I got interested and I was improved a lot. But, now in the last two months, I got motivation and inspiration and boring. And I am sub 30 on 3x3 with color neutral. Can you help me to get out of boring in the cubing?

start some side events! 3x3 is boring as heck if it's all you do. I'm sub-15 on 3x3 with roux (I would recommend trying roux out it is a lot more fun than cfop) however, my main event is skewb and I am top 800 in the world and second in my state. I consider myself as sort of an all rounder and I think you would like that too!

The thing is, I think most would agree that solving in and of itself *is* boring. For most the actual fun parts are learning new things, talking to other cubers and or going to competitions. Therefore, if you're finding practise boring, I would suggest learning something new or maybe talking about various aspects of cubing with others.

For a lot of cubers, practise also eventually becomes a more meditative frame of mind so I would recommend trying to listen to music or podcasts etc.

But the bottom line is that if you're finding cubing boring, don't force yourself to do it. Come back when you feel motivated to do it.

Personally I get bored with 3x3 very easily, and burned out on blind events. With a good 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7 I could be entertained for months. If I had to pick one 6x6 has everything the others do as far as the solve goes.

I got to a point where I'm not seeing improvements on my 3x3 times, so I like to practice other methods and that is giving me new things to learn and practice.

6x6 hardware is ok OOTB at best. I enjoy setting up my cubes, and currently main a YLM 6x6 that I magnetized. It’s really pretty good. I get at least as many pops and lockups on my Wuji M. Probably a minor lockup every five solves, a major one every 8-10 solves. There’s room for improvement in hardware, but it can be pretty good if you put some time into it.
