That's not 2-gen. You must use only M and U moves for the entire solve.

Here's a 2-gen solve of that scramble.

Wow, your knowledge of the cube is just crazy! Didn’t think (M' U)x4 would even help in this case.
To be fair, I've been messing around with cubes of various sizes off and on for 10 years. In addition to the hundreds of parity algorithms on the 4x4x4 parity algorithms wiki page (which are attributed to my name, of course, but also several which are not attributed to anyone) and algorithm sets that can be found in the post linked to in my signature, I have also found miscellaneous sequences to even patterns like this. (The 14 move ending of that alg is of course from Cube Explorer, but...)

I'm actually not very good at 2-gen. Proof: When I found 2-gen 4x4x4 parity algorithms by hand (for all five possible 4x4x4 parity 2-gen move sets), they were all about double optimal. Whereas I'm very good at finding parity algs, in general.
