I have a lot of trouble with the timer going. I can't get an accurate average.

When the timers not gouing my moves aee fluid, I see my next pairs better. When the timer is running, I get nervous an have more pauses, trying to turn too fast...
Any advice on how to overcome this.

Look at the cube, not the timer, when you're solving. You can cover the timer or whatever to help with that, but I don't think this is especially helpful.

If your problem is that merely knowing that your solves are being timed is making you nervous (regardless of whether you peek at the timer), the solution to that is to do a few thousand timed solves (not all in one sitting, obviously), only, and make sure you focus on the cube, not the timer; go straight into the next scramble once you're done with a solve. Don't waste time thinking about what your current running averages are like.

Put a piece of paper over the timer so you can't see the time moving. I use CSTimer but I don't have the time running when I solve. I find that whenever I have a fast solve and I notice it, I end up screwing everything up.
Thank you!

That's kind of what my wife told me(I don't guess I don't listen well). She's not a cuber, but said to do it timed every time so being timed becomes the norm.

I was like that in school, I could finish a test fine as long as ut wasn't timed.

I'll start doing that, just tinw my self more ofrwn than nit, then I'll get to where I'm nit thinking about it. I believe I'm sub 20 now if I have a smooth solve, Ive ckicked myself around 30 but kniw I made at least 10 seconds woeth of mistakes... Just wouls like to know.

Thanks again!
