So, at my school I am teaching a cubing club. However, everyone is kind of going off and doing their own thing/ teaching people different ways than the way I want them to learn.
Any suggestions?

Can you give more specifics? Is it really that bad that they're learning other ways?
I’ve been thinking about that as well. And no, it is not. But I am trying to teach everyone a beginner CFOP (very easy to learn and teach) but they are using a beginners method. So, in the end all I’m trying to do is allow them to get faster and not have to go through a “wall” in their road to get fast, but they are preventing me from doing so by refusing to let me teach them a different way then what they’re used to/their friends are used to.

Well maybe they don't really care about improving, and that's ok! I would reccomend indulging them until they learn, and if they're interested in improving then, then you can show them your way. If not, maybe start introducing them to other puzzles like the 2x2, Pyraminx, Skewb, and eventually maybe 4x4+.

Thanks. I’ll probably do that, and just let them do whatever method they want.

Wrong thread, but it seems like the screw stripped the core which is a common problem on Square-1. There should be plenty of youtube videos on how to fix this issue.

I do workshops in our public library 4 times a year (3 hours on a saturday). Sometimes people come that have their own way for the first layer in mind, but I try to encourage them to learn "my" beginner's method, because the moves from the first layer will be used for the second layer, too.
Also I made a 2-sided printout that they can take home also. Maybe something like that could be helpful for your cubing class, too:

update: The next meeting has happened and it went a lot smoother. We split it into groups so that beginners learn the cube, then move on what i want them to learn. Thanks for all the help!
