I average 15 so these are slightly worse than normal, but i thought it would be good to show my bad solves over my good ones

You could also do R' U' R2 U R, assuming you're talking about the back right block. R U R2 U' R' for front right, just as an option. More friendly to execution and grip of the rest of your F2L turns.

I would have done it with my right thumb: R2 S R2' S'

I have an alg like this, U-Perm on the R side during F2L: R S R2' S' R (and mirror)
Sometimes very useful.
