I'm thinking of hosting a forum comp for mid September to early October (including FTO and kilo btw) although I might end up moving it later because there are a lot of comps going on and I don't know which are when.
I have registered for nationals!
Unfortunately, because qualification requirements and all that, I can only do 2x2 and 3x3 (4x4 I can't because no sub 1 average, OH and squan I can't because I haven't done them in comp before), which is quite sadj but I'll do what I can.
I've heard the mgc 4x4 is meant to be "uncontrollably fast"
But mine feels like there's a lot of friction going on, despite the amount of martian I put into it, and for me it's more of a slow cube atm.
Anyone got ideas to speed it up, or is it just that I haven't done enough solves yet?
Another thing I learned today, genning algs and putting them in a document with pictures is pain.
For that random LSLL thing I made, I needed to put the TLS algs into a doc. What I didn't know was that apparently some of the algs just straight up weren't genned by the batch solver
I feel like this will happen with CPS too... Bring on the pain
I'm cursed with inadvertently causing failures...
I was on a really good ao12 (pure sub-11) and I said "wow this is a good average", then proceded to get 2 15s in a row.
Why can't I just shut my mouth on good pace...
