Hi everyone! I'm in speedsolving for a week now, and my friend (hi Roma!) has just asked me to write here a story how did I get into it, so...

My name is Liza, I live in Moscow (Russia) and I got into speedsolving by breaking my spine on trampolines. Tbh this is the story about how I met (your mother) Roman Strakhov who was training in the same trampoline center and then suddenly jumped into the ER car. Two months after the incident I found myself becoming interested in speedcubing and decided to solve the clock. Then Roma gave me the clock and now I'm here struggling with those falling goddam buttons haha.

I'd be happy to hear something about u guys too!

(Even if you were on the forums for a week) Then still welcome to the Forums! :)

Welcome to speedsolving! You and my brother are the only people I know who started out with clock. Do you use a pin order? I personally don't use a pin order for the first cross, but for the second one I usually match the middle to the top, and do the rest without any down turns.

For the first cross I look for convenient arrow matchings if there are such, and then solve about them. After turning the clock most of the time I match the central arrow randomly (cuz of hurry, must do something with it) or to the another closest arrow (which requires less turn angle). I have to develop attention in order to notice, for example, the skips. That's the actual situation ;)
