[Unofficial] 6 Year Old Solves 3x3 17.47 Average of 12

i have to go away and practice now :(

but well done!

3. 333 by default, to teach the next 222 -> 444 -> 555 -> blind -> pyraminx -> square-1 -> Megaminx -> one-hand

I want to see a video of her do an OH solve :D

Yes. If she beats me at OH (using regular cube, not keychain) before she reaches the height of 5ft, I quit cubing :p. I always thought OH is the type of cubing for the tall man. Based one my experience, the best way to get girls while cubing is to do OH while not paying attention to the cube (don't stare at the cube!). If you do it any other way, you are a nerd. If you do it with your feet (never tried), then you are just crazy or disgusting.

So far, I think I'm winning in 2x2, BLD, and pyraminx. I don't think I'll ever catch up to her in the other categories. Her look ahead is too amazing.

Her abilities are in disagreement with my hypothesis. It was:
If a small kid learns to cube, he/she will be amazing at BLD do to great memory and fail at big cubes because they are too complex, requires a bit more high level thinking, too many pieces to track, too big for their hands, and gets boring. The results are just the opposite. Dene, anything from psychology to explain this result?

I fell off my chair laughing at this one...

Man, those are some great clips -- I've cubed since April of 08 and I'm nowhere CLOSE to those times...
or will be for a long long time... :(

Maybe one day when i have kids I will teach them AT 4 YEARS OLD!! :o xD

You're so mean Escher... xDD

anyway, she solves with cross on front (I saw it on two! YAY ME! :P) -- Maybe I should pick that up...

And yeah, I agree with Fanwuq -- HOW THE HECK does she get that kind of lookahead?!?!?! 1-look OLL and 1-look PLL, that's impressive, I still can't even get full PLL yet... argh.

shhhh bichettereds, only 2.8 times her age...

we've been cubing the same amount of time :(

EDIT
nice vid, im sure she'll get far superior at OH once shes bigger :)
