ZBLL takes the most work since it has the most cases, but is it the most useful?
which is the fastest?
F2L+EO+ZBLL
F2L+OLLCP+EP
OLS+PLL

I voted for ZBLL just because if you can do EO well, it seems like it can be pretty effective. The only downside is recognition time, but I believe some people are really fast at recognizing ZBLL cases (I think Jabari is).

I think OLLCP/COLL is the most useful for the amount of effort it takes to learn because it can help you in many solves if you know basic edge control

how does OLLCP have to do with edge control?
You can do OLLCP for any EO case, even dots.

I voted OLLCP, because:

  1. The algs are relatively easy (compared to ZBLL).
  2. It's useful for other puzzles - it gives you an EPLL on bigcubes which are faster than most other PLLs. It also helps with parity recognition.
  3. No setup required (unlike ZBLL/VLS) - however the extra step required means this isn't necessarily a good thing.
It's also somewhat useful for Roux though you won't get to use it in 75% of your solves.

Pll obviously.
lol jk. Ollcp is probably more useful for big cubes and OH, and you can get it every time with cfop, whereas you would need to set up a zbll.(basically what TDM said) also some vls/rls algs suck
But, how many OLLCP cases are there? I could think of learning full COLL and maybe some other easy cases for not-all-edges-oriented cases but full OLLCP must be a bit crazy. I assume it would be 6 cases per OLL so 57 x 6 = 342?

331 Algs for full OLLCP
432 Algs for VLS (216 excluding mirrors)
493 Algs for Zbll
Those were the options on the poll, so i selected ollcp :)
if coll was there, I may have picked that instead

I think VLS is the easiest subset to learn because its only 216 cases plus mirrors. The algs come in really nice sets(WV, UB, UF,..) so its easier to learn. Each ZBLL case doesn't come up very often, so its hard to remember them after not using them a lot

But I'm not sure which alg subset will make you the fastest. Which method has the lowest movecount?
also some vls/rls algs suck
lots of OLLCPs suck too.
