Checking only 2 sides:1 hour
Checking all 6 sides:1.35 hours
I'm still not convinced by the calculations myself -- If enough cubes are called up and the scramblers get ahead so that there are still cubes to be taken, then checking extra faces is essentially "free" time. Scrambling time isn't the only logistical constraint, running/solving time also constrains the time on competitions. I almost always check all faces of the cube and I don't feel like I'm dragging competitions behind that much.
The WCA should implement something to cover in situations like this. I think he should get a +2 because it was not his fault but yet he could have received an advantage.
Yes, he is a really good cuber, but I am sure he would have gotten a worse time with the other scramble.

This was not done when it was shown via video review that Drew made a turn in inspection in what would have been a wr average.Again, this touches on the issue of using video evidence only to punish. Everything was assured to be accurate by the scrambler, the delegate signed off, and only the video evidence raised suspicion. This would have gone through without any suspicion if no one had filmed it. Feliks is lucky that he still has the WR that he earned, but he had every right to hide his personal video, and there would have been little the WCA could have done about it.
If a mistake makes it past the competition, video should NOT be used as a method for retroactively DNFing. Either that or every WR should require video. It's about a fair, equal playing field.

Let's say he somehow managed to put the scrambled cube in his pocket and pull out a solved cube from another pocket without anyone at the competition noticing and stops the timer at a world record time. He uploads a video where the cheating is clearly visible but we shouldn't DNF the solve because it would be unfair. Seems about right.
You can't possibly know that. He PROBABLY would have but you can't know that... He could have been even faster on that scramble![]()
Lol. Not sure if serious or just trolling.
