There is already a thread on what people's times are for each step of CFOP. I'm wondering what you think an ideal amount of time in percentage of the full time would be for each step.

For example, cross 10%, F2L 60%, OLL 15%, PLL 15%

So a solve that is 20 seconds should be about 2 seconds for the cross, 12 for F2L, 3 for OLL, and 3 for PLL.

My thought is if a lot of people have the same idea for the percentages of each step someone could look at this and see that one step in their own solves is taking a lot longer than what many think it should take at whatever average speed that person is currently at.

This is exactly my case, should I learn full PLL or should I improve F2L first?
why not both? drill PLL, learn better algs and at the same time practice your f2l
I'd say pll is easier to practice than f2l

no matter how long you cube you'll be learning f2l tricks, the same is not so true about pll, as you learn good algs is rare that you need to substitute one of them.

Actually for PLL, I only have V, R & G perms left, in what order would you recommend learning? I only know that the chance of having a G perm is like over 20%

My percentage right now is:

Cross 20%
F2L 30%
OLL 25%
PLL 25%

I want to improve at cross, though!!

There are 2 rperms 1 v perm and 4 gperms

I would say rperms are easier to learn than vperm... Vperm is diagonal swap so the Alg is longer.
and gperms there are 4 so learn it last but is important to know all

Got N perm for PLL (I average sub-25)
