So there has always been talk about how people can still be really fast with LBL and 4LLL, I haven't done LBL since I was averaging like 45 seconds with 4LLL and F2L, and so a little bit ago, I was bored so I timed an ao12 with LBL and 4LLL. I was actually faster than I thought and noticed that still utilized look ahead, the average was 29.40, so I can still get sub 30 with the basics. It's weird to think that F2L and 2LLL only really improves me by less than 10 seconds. I searched to see if there was a thread about this and there is, but it's over 5 years old. So what times do CFOP users get with LBL and 4LLL? Also post what your normal averages are.

For 2x2, about 6 seconds. (That's basically just using 3x3 algs though, nothing's optimized)

For 3x3, high 20s to low 30s. But if I practiced a bit more with it, I could probably get down to ~26-27 seconds.

I got 39.319 Ao12, but I normally get around 25ish normally which is 15 seconds faster.

If I'm solving the last layer through EO>EP>CP>CO, then I average about 22-25 seconds. There is a particar edge placement algorithm in the seconds layer that I never got fast at executing. I can't remember th algorithm for the life of me, but it still takes me about 5 seconds to perform.

Technically CFOP is just solving the first layer such that the second layer is solved at the same time.
And then solve the last layer with 2 steps.

:P

I'm probably sub 30 with LBL. Haven't tried. I'll give it a go when I get home.

what is cfopish roux? f2l, corners, lse? rouxish freefop? f2b, f2l, oll, pll?

I think he means solving first 2 blocks by inserting the D layer edges then solving the other pieces like F2L pairs

Does that mean 23 or 25? If it means 23, you're saying you are only 1.5 seconds slower with LBL than with CFOP... that sounds unlikely. How much of OLL/PLL do you know?
For 4LLL, there are like 7 cases for 2 look oll and 7 plls. And I will mostly use keyhole and I can sub 20 with keyhole and 2 look oll and pll so I just guessed that around 25 sec I should be able to do 4LLL. I avg 18 sec. So what is that 1.5 sec slower thingy?
