Your thoughts?

Hi people. I'm sorta new here :P anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts were on learning Fridich, for pursuing speedcubing. I know it's one of the best methods, so I'm asking, IS IT REALLY WORTH IT? Right now, I'm starting to learn it, because I average times of 40-50 seconds using the Beginners/LBL method. So your thoughts and such?

Yes, if you want to become faster then start to learn it. You can do it gradually in stages since you're already able to do LBL method. Start by speeding up your first 2 layers by using the keyhole method and then intuitive F2L. Then start trying to plan your cross as much as possible during inspection. Next learn 2 look PLL and 2 look OLL. Then start learning some of the harder F2L cases and try to learn the F2L cases from different angles to avoid cube rotations. Then learn full PLL and finally full OLL. Then work more on your F2L with some shortcuts, etc. This is approximately the right order but everyone is different. Just take it slowly one step at a time. Always work on speeding up the part that you're slowest at or that won't take long to learn.
There are other speed methods other than Fridrich (such as Roux) but learning Fridrich will be a smoother transition for you and Fridrich has proved to be the fastest so far.

See some other methods to if you like them.. Like Petrus, Roux, ZZ and others.

But yes, you need get off LBL if you want to improve :)

As he said, try many other methods as well and see what you like.
Try all of them at once. And yes it is worth it.
All this will improve your understanding of cube theory.

don't limit yourself to Fridrich I found after practicing roux for a bit i got a better understanding of the cube in general which helps alot in FMC. also roux imo is ore fun than fridrich:P
