Well, you could view the objective as getting it back into a ball shape, but yeah, I really doubt it will ever be in a competition

no, this is a stupid thread. this "puzzle" will never reach the pure tables of the WCA. although, it is stupid enough to be in the CCA competitions.

it's almost stupider than magic, but at least magic has one solved state.....

It'll never be an event, if that's what you mean. Magic and Master Magic are already more than enough "do this exact thing as fast as possible" events...
