Ernő Rubik invented not only the Cube, but also the Snake — a puzzle that’s no less interesting and captivating.
It has several trillion possible combinations, and with its 24 wedges you can create amazing shapes.
I thought it would be fun to match those 24 wedges with 24 cubes and recreate the same shapes as mosaics.
With cubes, there’s even the extra possibility of adding colorful patterns to the figures.
In this video, you can see my first experiment — the basic dog shape.
I’ve also designed a collection of 24 animal figures made from the Rubik’s Snake, each paired with its own 24-cube pattern.
