Will anyone break current record for 3x3 besides Feliks himself?

:P who the heck is this Rowe Hessler or Yu Nakajima.. LOL. If they can't beat him now they probably wont :P :P its obviously going to be nobody or some random guy.

how do you not know who they are? Rowe Hessler is the only person besides Feliks with a sub-7 official solve. Yu Nakajima is just a legend.
And this thread is a Yes or No answer thread.

YES

Too be honest I doubt the record will be broken, his style of cubing is completly different from any other cuber and who else can get 4sec F2L. The record will only be broken by himself. Rowe's 6.94 was lucky and Feliks 5.66 wasn't, how does that compare. Unless someone pro gets a LL skip thats the day his record will be broken.

There was a time when Yu Nakajima was considered by many to be the top cuber, that time has passed.
Nowadays there are quite a few cubers that are 'better' than he was, even considering the times he achieved at his peak.

As for the question of the thread:
There are a few cubers who have the potential to break the current 3x3 single and average world record. I think it's very possible for someone else other than Feliks to break the 3x3 record/s, however, I don't think anything will happen in a hurry.

Duh!

Records are meant to be broken. A better question is "How long will Feliks keep his WR's?"

If anyone is going to break it I guess that person will be me!

but didn't 5.66 of feliks have an easy X-cross??

Well, it was about 8-moves, so not the easiest.

As awesome as Nakajima is, I really don't understand how people still think he could be on par with Feliks.... Time has moved on people. Same with all the other previous greats.
There are a couple of people who could get lucky and beat him (but I don't think they go to many competitions)... but it's only a matter of time before more young blood appears to rival Feliks.

Feliks Zemdegs is too popular. Masato Onobe ftw.

Yes, Onobe has some real skill, and there was a time recently when everyone expected him to demolish the competition... however, there are two factors to being a world champion: 1) Being fast 2) being able to perform well in competition. The second one is very important and largely underestimated.
