Actually in hindsight to my knowledge there is only one method that can theoretically be a 2-look method on every solve. And that is WaterRoux.
It has already been postulated that the top 2x2 solvers could see the first block and the back right 2x2 block in inspection, this has already been done by some Roux solvers, with the extra step of predicting the L5C case. So now the solver can solve the roux first two blocks and corners in the inspection in 1-look. They reach L7E next. While L7E methods are still in their infancy, I suppose it is possible that solving L7E in 1 look is possible, although it would probably take more than 1,000 algorithms. Nevertheless, this method could theoretically be a 2-look method, requiring 514 L5C algorithms and 1000 L7E algorithms. Could it compete with advanced CFOP? I suppose there is a small chance but unlikely we would ever see that happen since it would require a decade of dedicated development by a whole group of people.
