No you shouldn't BUT the dx megaminx, buy you can buy it, its a decent quality pvc minx and better if you have smaller hands. just sand and change out the screws with type A on it./

The DX $7.20 PVC minx is pretty good although the sticker colours are not the best choice! To add $3.50 (+p&p) to the price with my preferred minx stickers increases the cost but it's still way below a $28 MF8 from Meffert's and it kicks it's butt in performance (all my own (twisted) opinion of course!)

I went further and put bumpers on the corner pieces which makes it into a very cool puzzle indeed!

Are those bumpers clear, even those appearing to be red? Or are they colored themselves?

Judging by the bumper sheets on either side, I'd go ahead and say they are clear. It seems as though the picture was taken in the middle of putting them on because a few sides are missing some.

All correct! :D

Yes, this is mid-stickering -- I spent a long time on it ensuring the placement (they are VERY sticky!) and all air bubbles squeezed out. It turned out better than I expected -- the clear domed bumpers magically take on the colour of stickers and it makes for a beautiful puzzle to look at and to handle! I also like the extra grip which I believe improves my times but I'm no speed-minxer :)
