I average about 13 sec on 3x3. When do you think is a good time to start learning thinks like COLL or ZBLL?

I don't think there's any point in waiting. Imo if he's finished OLL he should move straight on to e.g. COLL, VHLS.I would suggest getting to around 10 and then start learning coll, zbll etc.
( P.S. The sune coll's are useless)
Nikalas is useful to know. As well as the standard sune.( P.S. The sune coll's are useless)

You're talking about algs for different angles. I don't think it's worth learning a ton of theseI average only about 18 and I plan to learn those later. Right now I'm working on learning another set of OLL and PLL that executes from opposite position (y2) of what I already know. I guess I wouldn't really call these another set of algs. It's just some execution tricks. I don't know how much it helps with my overall time, but I feel I get some good times here and there from knowing these tricks.
So if you still don't know how to execute your algs from a y2 position already, you can try learning some of those.
If you have to do U2 PLL U2, wouldn't it save a quarter to half of a second if you know how to do it from the opposite angle? I think that's especially true for algs that starts with x/x', like A perm, or algs that ends with F which makes it hard to do AUF afterwards. You're talking about algs for different angles. Except for f sexy f' and F inverse sexy F'
and also the U perms
For A perms its not really worth it because there's only one good A perm.If you have to do U2 PLL U2, wouldn't it save a quarter to half of a second if you know how to do it from the opposite angle? I never thought of doing AUF using thumbs after an F move, so that video is pretty enlightening. I tried but it's quite difficult to get the right feel. Guess I'll need to keep trying. For A perms its not really worth it because there's only one good A perm.
I guess you're right, cause sometimes doing F' U2 or F U is slow. But most times its not worth it.
I would recommend this vid for AUFinghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsC1k1HQDxg
yep. A Perm from with headlights on left is just fat T permI never thought of doing AUF using thumbs after an F move, so that video is pretty enlightening. I tried but it's quite difficult to get the right feel. Guess I'll need to keep trying.
I'm with stoic that if T perm shows up on the left I would do the left-handed version. Many of the y2 PLL are actually just mirrors so they are not hard at all. And for A perms, I don't agree that there's only 1 good alg. For Aa perm with bar in front I do [x’ (L’UL’) D2 (LU’L’) D2 L2], and I do [(l'UR') D2 (RU'R') D2 R2] for bar in back and I think they're pretty much the same.
