What are your tips on learning CFOP

If you are coming from layer by layer/beginner method, then you don't have to change anything for Cross. Next in CFOP is F2L or First 2 Layers, which instead of putting the white corner in then the 2nd layer edge, you just put them in together. After F2L is OLL or Orientation of Last Layer, which is where you make the entire yellow face. Finally there is PLL of Permutation of Last Layer, which is where you solve the the rest of the cube. You can check out some of Jperm's videos on CFOP, his videos is primarily how I learned how to do CFOP efficiently. You can also check out his website Jperm.net, which has all of the algorithms for CFOP and he also added videos to each part to recommend you to one of his videos detailing it.

Learn F2L intuitively with J Perm's tutorial. It's gonna take a while to figure out, but once it clicks it becomes pretty natural. For 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL (collectively known as 4 Look Last Layer), I recommend the cube skills pdf of all the algorithms.

Also a good way to learn 4LLL is J Perm's tutorials. They're especially helpful because he explains recognition for the cases; I recommend watching these videos to learn the cases then maybe use the pdf to actually memorize the algorithms:

Nah imo cross solutions need refining. If you don't already solve cross on bottom do so and improve transition to f2l and save a z2. Also watch videos on advanced cross when you get a grip on f2l

That is true, I completely forgot that most of the time beginners solve cross on top, or do the flower method.
