So I have a Qiyi clock and everything is good I know 7simul flip and average 4.8 to 5 by my clock setup is slow
I think I do everything right after setup and but after breaking it gets kinda slow I feel like I will never get sub 4 with my setup I use weight 5 and silk and I do tape mod I even bought a new clock but it is still slow,l

i may not be an expert but you do NOT want to put weight 5. thats thick lube and it will slow down performance

I agree with @BVCuber13; in fact, I think that Weight 5 is the best lube for clock when applied correctly. You don't use too much--just place a small dot at each 12 o'clock tick mark (interior), then use a paper towel to spread a thin, even coat along the interior surface. It will feel like you haven't used enough, but results will be noticeable once the clock is broken in. It's significantly easier to over-lube a clock than to use too little.

weight 5 is completely fine as long as you don't overlube with it, just a drop in each face is perfect

to the original post @Cubing342 , listen to these guys and completely ignore my post. they are way better than me at clock. im not the biggest fan of using thick lubes for clock but since these guys know what they're saying, go for it
