So my Moyu Weilong GTS2M arrived in the post today and just a few hours later I heard a rattling sound and found that both the magnets in one of my edges had come unstuck. I hadn't dropped it or anything - it happened during an H perm.

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same problem or if I chose the one cube that wasn't done properly??

Yes, my mass produced GTS 2M's magnets came loose easily as well. Keep a superglue handy if you buy this puzzle.

I find the extra magnets very useful to check if a magnet had came loose. Just keep it in the bag and tap it around, much easier than having to crack open every corners and edges (the edges are very hard to open in my GTS 2M).

So update... I found the extra magnets in my GTS2M box. Haven't needed them as I haven't lost any yet. However, I've had to re-glue magnets several times and I'm getting pretty frustrated with it. I haven't kept track of whether I've been doing the same magnets over and over or whether it's different ones each time.

Do other magnetic cubes have this problem or is it just a defect on the GTS2M? I really liked the cube when it first arrived but this is really ticking me off having to re-glue so often and having been disassembled/reassembled is messing with the lubrication feel too.

It might help if you reglue all of the magnets at the same time.

Same thing, I'm just going to take each edge that is rattling and have somebody superglue them back on, and hopefully they will stay. It is still my main cause the performance in time isn't much different, but it is just less comfortable and easier to make a wrong move.

I'm currently working on a way for magnets to stay in our cubes better. Super glue is great, but brittle. I've been trying out construction caulking. Might sound crazy but I'm loving it. Stay tuned for my final conclusions.

I did not magnetize it myself, I just bought it off Amazon. After further reading I found out there are two versions of the GTS2M and the 1st version was more prone to the magnets coming loose so I assume that's what I must have.

My magnets are also coming loose. One method I considered is buying a couple of spare cubes and cannibalizing pieces from them to replace the 'bad/loose' pieces in my main cube. In this fashion you don't need to crack open the pieces and reglue for a long long time.

That could work, but it could get pretty expensive. (Depending on your budget)
