The GAN 12, currently the sole ui cube (excluding the Mini) has holes in its corner feet to allow for PowerPod charging. Since the 15 has those same holes, the 15 will also be available soon in a smartcube version. No telling when, though.

do you think I should upgrade rn from the i3 to the 12 ui maglev, or wait for the 15 ui to come out

Neither. If you find that you perform well with the i3, stick with it. Don't knock what ya got!

But if you must upgrade, I'd suggest neither. Since the QiYi smart cube has some foibles, and the MoYu smart cube has an awful app, I'd suggest the GAN i Carry v2. It has a fuller piece design and works very well for the money, and is a good performance compromise for the price.

This is not an LE clock. Its meant to be an v2 version of the qiyi clock

Performance-wise, the i Carry 2 is certainly better, but not by a lot. The fluidity is improved in the i Carry 2 over the i3, but the corner-cutting and whatnot remain nearly the same.

I’m hoping we can get some competition in both clock and square-1 soon as both of these events have had a pretty obvious best cube for over 3 years now, and while it is easy to choose what cube to get and use, we need more options and choices for people looking for something cheaper that still has flagship performance, and people with less easily suitable turning styles

I believe Max Park had one of these. It's a new qiyi budget cube. I got to try it. He was using it interchangeably with the TV4
