Upcoming puzzles

Qiyi has announced a limited edition clock. Red parts, maybe other inserts and changes to the magnets.
I have felt 2 LE Clocks

The pins have strong magnets, which means you havbe to put force on the pins
it comes with custom inserts (someone gave me them and i like them)

for the pins, anders barhaugen said in the discord server that there were magnets in the case of the clock, and that he put them out with a knife and now it feels better. preformance feels like the second batch of the clock.

YJ MGC Elite 5x5
(or whatever it's going to be named. Andy said he doesn't know what the name will be.)

It sounds very hollow; perhaps this is going to be another 562-type cube. Oddly, despite YJ being new to UV coating, I would say it is actually UV-coated. I think that this may be YJ's re-entry into the "still producing decent cubes" market sector and out of the "I mean, they're old. It's alright, but..." market sector. Any internal pictures yet, or a disassembly?

the Nezha also has that same light hollow-like feeling when turning
2nd best cube I have after the Valk 5
. . . .
re: UV coating = maybe, but not necessarily
all of YJ's MGC big cubes originalky came with nice hard glossy plastic😎

Will this cube beat the GAN 5x5?
Dun dun dun
Inners are simular but the outers on the mgc elite are way better than the GAN. Even the original mgc outers are better than the gan.
As long as it beats the old MGC 5x5, it'll be good enough for lots of people.
I doubt it'll beat the Hong or 562, except in price, but maybe in price per performance, too.
I think the best is the hong, second is the mgc elite, 3rd is a well broken in Valk 5 or a ball core aochuang wrm.
I think the gan only works for yau, and only to some extent. As a redux user for 5x5, I prefer the original mgc over the gan. Not even close to the mgc elite or the hong. Even though the corner cutting on the gan is on par with the meilong 5M, I prefer the meilong as the outers are better.
The gan dont even have adjustable elasticity/ tension/magnets, just a traditional screw and spring. It is not something innovative to impact the market like the gan mega v2, which is my current main right now. Also with tons of reports of quality control issues on the gan 5x5 even in China, I just dont think gan is mature enough to produce the perfect 5x5, not even close.

Just out of curiosity, how many standard measure 3x3's do you folk's have? (50mm-60mm). I have about 7. I can only name the brand on like 3 of them lol.

You have so many cubes but only 7 3x3s

W 3x3 is so overated : D (your collection is soo coooll
I've got over 200 puzzles, 180 or so all require a different solve technique. Whether it be the 3x3 vs. Megaminx style or the skewb vs. Skewby Copter Plus style lol. Almost all of them require different or unique methods in order to solve. That's what I base my collection on, unique solves and fun puzzles. It's why I do a bulk scramble of my entire collection every time they all return to a solved state, you can't play with them unless you mess them up lol. I dislike seeing people calling themselves "collectors" when they've got 100 3x3's sitting on their shelves and only like 14 unique puzzles. It's a massive world. Speedsolving is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but there's way more out there that is worth exploring.
