Upcoming puzzles

ok after a few solves I have to say it's a little 'catchy'. Maybe it'll smooth out after some more solves break it in, but it definitely locked up doing turns in each solve. I added a couple drops of Cublcle Silk into it to try an loosen it up a bit which is something I've never really had to do for a *minx before..

yeah if the Yuxin Giga was magnetized it would be pretty perfect.

The Diansheng Giga is a step in the right direction but it's a little tight and catchy,.. I bet a v2 or v3 version will be perfect.

I really like it (and want to like it) but there are times I'm trying to do a 'U' move in the PLL or OLL and it's like it's stuck. It looks flat, I don't see any reason why it's not turning, but it's caught on something internally.

I keep hoping it gets smoother when it breaks in more.

Reverse corner cutting of a U move is almost non-existent in the one I have. If the layers aren't perfectly aligned the U move wont turn. And you'd think they'd always be perfectly aligned on account of the magnets, which is the whole reason I bought it.

Hopefully they keep refining it. I really think by v2 or v3 they could be making the absolute best Gigaminx you can get. But it's not quite there yet.

Well, thanks to my Facebook profile getting hijack hacked, I had some time to focus on a puzzle that I'd been kind of procrastinating on for a while. After a total of about 13 hours of hands on time, my mf8 Big Dipper has been successfully solved, including parity. It's a rough puzzle, catchy, hard to turn, but holy cow was I excited when I made that last turn. Always feels great to conquer a tough or complicated puzzle.

sucks that your profile was hacket (seems to happen a lot lately), but congrats on solving that! I have heard that the turning was pretty bad, so respect!

I posted this in the completely wrong thread, my bad lol. This should have gone in the accomplishments thread. Admins, feel free to move if you want to.

dude, yes! I had a gigaminx sitting on my desk for half a year, half solved. I was going about it the wrong way, (layer by layer from bottom to top), and once I passed the halfway point I would keep breaking things in the bottom half trying to solve the top half. One day during a Zoom call (camera off) it popped in my head to try and solve it like a 5x5 and do centers then edges. Solved it in about an hour.

Was so psyched and happy to have finally figured it out.

I seriously want a gigaminx but I can't afford it. If I sell enough of my custom cubes I will definitely buy one though.
because of my profit margins I need to sell 4 magevos in order to afford the diansheng gigaminx (I think I will enjoy that one more than the yuxin one)

Just bought a DianSheng Gigaminx M for $25, same price as my UV Coated GAN Mini M Pro

the Yuxin giga* is really good, so is the Shengshou one.

The Diansheng is good but it's catchy and can lock up for some weird reason. (which you'd think it wouldn't do that because it's magnetized, but it does it more than the Yuxin. )

Yes, however I would like to have the smaller size because it looks a lot nicer and I feel gigaminx could be smaller anyhow
