I believe penguins are superior to ducks because penguins are more sophisticated and cuddly. Penguins are intelligent, aloof, versatile, and civilized, which is more or less, selective and sporadic with the duck situation.
Penguins will return to their mates (will not cheat) over a course of two months, meaning that they are loyal. (I have no idea honestly)
More movies have been made about penguins, from Happy Feet to Pingu to Penguins of Madagascar to even Mr. Poppin's Penguins. This shows that they are more popular with the overall community. The South Pole was declared as unclaimable and is specifically categorized for research and tourism. On the subject of drama, ducks have been involved with much conflict with the Red Nexus, meaning that they are inflated with hot air and drama. Penguins are more quiet and do not attempt to stir up conflict (unless you are Gentoo).
Next, penguins are adaptive and are more versatile. They do not have the ability to fly, and make up for that lacking with the ability to swim extremely fast. This shows that, while the majority of birds are inflatable and can glide through air, penguins are more adaptive and efficient with their movements (tobogganing or swimming). Penguins do not have as many predators, meaning they can live as they do. They are therefore more efficient since they do not waste as much time running away.
Furthermore, they are very intelligent and have shown to have incredible navigation memory. They can also utilize a skill called the "cocktail party effect,"; something of the recognition of a name or signature sound over a din. Penguins are aloof from other species (except dinner!) and are more useful by supplying their own niche in society.
Ducks are known as birds that just swim around in water, reproduce, and get old. They don't exactly achieve anything other than existing. However, there is essentially a rigid dichotomy between penguins and ducks in the fact that penguins have become advanced and are relatively civilized.
In conclusion, penguins are objectively better than ducks, because they have superior skills, knowledge, and are chill. While ducks may have other traits that penguins do not, I believe that they do not outweigh penguins due to the importance of their role in society.
