The Solve Critique Thread

Theres the difference between slow turning with sluggish thinking and slow turning with constant thinking. Slow turning does encourage sloppy look ahea if you don't concentrate.

Mine:
Timer stops look fine to me. How much do you usually plan in inspection? Ideally you want to be planning up to LL on most solves. Practice with no inspection limit, just make sure you can inspect as far as you possibly can.

Your turning style is completely different to mine so I can't really help you much there, but turnspeed is not much of a concern at this point anyway. Inspection, efficiency and lookahead are much more important.

Okay, I try to see at least the first whole tip in inspection, or at least where the 3rd piece is going to be (not always orientation though). You're saying that I should be able to 1 look the solves basically?

you had a really big pause from cross to F2L when you inspect try to also find an F2L pair to track to take away that pause from cross to F2L

i don't even own a 6x6, but i suppose you could practice your 3rd+4th+5th from last edges, which seem somewhat slower than they ought to be.

i recorded one quick zz-d solve:

tips?

obviously improve your cp recognition or dont use zz-d :P
so , is this still what you call "rainbow" (despise the fact that you dont do z and then RU-Gen for first Block)?
Are you gonna use this as your main method?
anyway, impressive how short it took you to sub20 this...

Any tips on how to get faster?

Hey all, just wondering if I could get some advice on my speedcubing. I'm using F2L, 2 look OLL and 2 look PLL. It's taken me around 3-4 weeks to get down from 30-35 seconds to an average of 25 or so. Thanks in advance!

An example of one of my solves:

Solve looks quite nice, and I think full PLL would help you a lot, but mainly Slow down during your F2l, you are going a little too fast and having to pause to find pieces.
