The right tension for F II

If tensions can be adjusted, it's a screw-spring structured cube (unless of course if it doesn't have springs.)
I diy cube is a do it yourself cube. An ES is often diy, but I don't think it's screw-spring structured.
You guys do realise diy stands for do it yourself right? >_<

Nice that someone with a brain appeared.

and he's talking to you right now.

The term is quite loose, though it is considered that it is a DIY if it has adjustable tensions. Even though you need not Do it yourself for a pre-assembled cube, the option is still left up to you. The reason a storebought is not a DIY is simply because you can't adjust the tensions. Therefore, Doing it yourself is not an option. It is possible to DIY with a F-II since you can dissasemble the cube completely.

Why argue anyway?

To the original question, It's personal preference. Do you turn fast, and not accurately? Do you have a smooth turning style? It all depends. I think that if your turning style is smooth and accurate, tightening the cube should do it. Though, if you don't turn accurately, then loosen the cube, if it's not loose enough. The reason being that you'd need some more cornering abilities, though some may argue against that.

Isn't this based more on personal preference?
There are different styles of cubers out there, some that like it tight and some that prefer it loose.

It's sort of an apples to oranges question, imo.
