The Forum Awards: Feedback, Suggestions, and Standards

An insight into some of my plans:

- I haven’t really considered the category list yet. If new categories get a good amount of support I’ll probably add them (feel free to support them here), otherwise we’ll go with a mostly unmodified version of the list in the original post.
- Nominations will be on the forum awards thread.
- Voting will be on a form, likely a Google form.
- Voting will be a ranked choice system. I poorly explained this in the OP, and will explain it better in the nominations thread. You will not have to rank every choice for every category, just the categories you want and the choices you have an opinion on.

My tentative timeline is as follows:

Sunday, December 15 - Nominations open. Specifically it will open at 12AM on this date

Tuesday, December 31 - Nominations close. Specifically, it will close on 11:59PM on that date.

Wednesday, January 1 - Voting begins. This is most subject to change as it depends on how long form creation takes. Likely not available for several hours after nominations close.

Saturday, January 18 - Voting ends. This is also very subject to change depending on public opinion and my schedule.

Results and winners will be announced shortly thereafter. They can either be announced ASAP, or on a set date (Jan 31 perhaps?), again depending on public opinion.

Forgot to mention that these will likely all use Zulu time (UTC+0:00, often the same as London time)

what method does AJ use?

I believe I should win the "Most Humble" award because, honestly, who else could possibly be more qualified? I’ve mastered the art of humility without even trying. I always downplay my achievements, never boast about my talents, and, most importantly, I make sure to give others the credit they don’t deserve. If there’s a humblebrag to be had, I’ve already perfected it—but in the most understated way, of course.

I never seek attention, but when it does come my way, I handle it with such grace that people barely notice I’m the center of it all. I’ve learned to deflect praise so subtly that others don’t even realize I’m actually the reason things went so well. It’s a rare skill, really.

In short, this award is obviously the culmination of years of effort on my part to embody true humility. I can’t think of anyone else more fitting to receive it—except, of course, me.

(ChatGPT btw)
