STM solver and god's number?

I there an optimal STM solver for 3x3x3 cube? There are obviously several that are optimized for HTM but I don't know of one that is for STM.

Also god's number in HTM is 20 and in QTM it's 26 but is it known for STM? If it is, then what is it?
I think the god's number in STM is not calculated yet.

Correct me if I am wrong @rokicki

Cube Explorer can work in STM, but you have to select that option. The first time you do, it will calculate the databases it needs. This works for optimizing algorithms. To do an entire solve requires either a lot of computing power or a lot of patience. As for God's number, I remember reading that it was 18, but I don't remember where it was or how credible the source was. I can't find it now.

Thank you for the useful responses. That's pretty much what I thought that it has not been proven yet but wanted to make sure.

Upper bound is 20. I don't see a source for this.
Also this doesn't really need a source, it is quite obvious if you think about it.
STM has all the same moves as HTM plus some more. And we know that gods number in HTM is 20 so obviously it must be 20 or less for STM since every HTM solution is also an STM solution of same length (or shorter if you can replace some moves with slice moves).
