Hi All,

Does anyone happen to know what protocol/standard is used by Speed Stack's StackMat Timer (Second Generation)?

I'd like to hook it up to my TI 89ti and save the times, rather than just use the 3 memory slots available on the timer itself.

Speed Stack's didn't respond to my e-mail regarding disclosing this information to the public so any help would be great. :)

Tim.

If you wanted, you can use your computer. CCT is a timer made by some of the caltech guys, and it uses the audio input on your computer to read the signal produced by the stackmat. I use it almost exclusively and, other than Mac OS problems, have no problem using it. In case you were wondering, the Mac problem deals with Apple's seperate release of java 1.6. It's not a full release and randomly quits JARs. This kinda prevents me from doing an avg of 100, by just using the timer. O, here's the link, http://gnehzr.net/cct/.

Cool! I have a TI too. It seems my timer is a really basic one though... no connection ports to display devices. =(

Are there like 2 speedstack timers around? (One that can be connected to display and one that can't?)

Yes there are 2 different kinds. One of them you buy through speedstacks.com, which has the port, and the other you buy in the sport stacking pack. If you got cups with your stackmat, or just bought it at any retail store, you have the basic one, not the competition one.

i have no idea about the stackmats but indeed nice picture. and put super mario on that thing. our teacher was playing super mario one day last year lmfao.
