[Help Thread] Square-1 Discussion

Two PBL algs, adj in U layer + a Jperm in the D layer:

/-3,-3/-2,-1/-2,0/0,2/0,-4/2,0/-2,0/1,0/-3,-3/-3,-3 [10|25] FR/barF
0,-3/-3,-3/0,-3/0,-4/2,0/0,-4/4,0/0,2/1,0/-3,-3/-3,0 [10|23] FR/barF (and another version for the same case: 3,0/-3,-3/-2,-1/-4,0/4,0/-2,0/4,0/-4,0/0,1/3,3/-3,0 [10|24])

Two moar of this type ...
op (LR) in U + Jperm in D

/0,-3/3,0/-1,0/-2,1/2,0/2,0/-2,-2/2,0/-1,0/-3,1/0,3/ [12|26] LR/barF
/-3,0/0,-3/2,0/0,2/-2,0/4,0/0,-2/0,2/-1,1/-3,0/3,0/ [12|24] LR/barL, this one shares alot with the usual adj parity alg.

Never liked the usual adj/W with no flip, so I came up with this even twist version (same alignment as the 7 twister):
1,0/0,3/-1,-1/0,-3/0,-3/1,1/-1,2/1,1/-1,0 [8|21]

What about:
Adj-W

1,0/3,0/-1,-1/-3,0/0,-3/1,1/0,3/-1,-1/0,1

It is a lot easier to learn since it is just lots of triggers cancelled, and is even better when mirrored for W-adj.

W-adj

1,0/3,0/-1,-1/-3,0/-3,0/-3,0/1,1/3,0/-1,-1/0,1

EDIT: argh, just realised that these are practically the same alg. Whoops!

I don't know if there is a format or not, but here goes.

I am looking to become sub-30, I currently average ~35 and use LV.

Cubeshape - This really varies depending on the solve. I use the classic pair all of them together, then solve using the alg.
CO - This is simple, it takes about 2 seconds.
EO - I know 5/7(all but the op adj) and it usually takes around 5 seconds with recognition.
CP - I know all of them, and it takes about 5 seconds swell.
CP - I know a very small amount of these, and it usually takes around 10 seconds. I can do parity in about 6 seconds.

What should I do to improve?

First up you should learn "advanced cubeshape".
Here are two good videos:
The original one by vault312.
A newer one by Brandon Lin (same content).

When it comes to EPs Brandon Lin also have a good video about EPs you "should know".
(The algs: adj/adj, good U/Us, U single layer, Z, H, op/adj, adj/op, O, op, U/adj, adj/U)

Advanced cubeshape is definitely the top priority.
Also work on learning these:

i know some of the eps but not many

PLEASE HELP

Does anyone have any alternate algs for the 4 w + u perm ep cases? I can't execute 4's or -4's on the bottom fast. Or, if there aren't any other good algs, could someone make a video showing how to execute those algs fast? Thanks in advance.
