Oh nice, yeah definitely just practicing and familiarity with cases dropped my times quite a bit, but make sure to practice other events too lol even though I guess I can't make you
The main reason I do want to practice other events (1/3 on other events and 2/3 on pyra) is so if I do bad in pyra it won't be super disappointing. I think if I only practiced pyra the nerves would be way to much for me to handle and I do want prs for 2x2 and 4x4 and a result for sq1.

Yeah I'm the same way, at one comp I practice clock so much leading up to it but then DNFed my average 💀

idk if it's just because I've been doing so many solves, but I've gotten like 7 sub-10 singles in the past 4 days for 3x3, here's one from a few minutes ago:

Just got another one lol (idk why the scramble is so short though, I don't think I pressed anything, idk what happened with that or if it's like not legal or smthng)

tried the scram on yellow cross there is one rotation and 2 regrips. 😮

Ok I've been watching @AJT17 's thread and was inspired to do a daily grind of solves for each of my comp events, it'll probably look like this:

3x3: 200 solves
2x2: 200 solves
OH: 100 solves
3BLD: 50 solves
Clock: 200 solves
Megaminx: 50 solves
Pyraminx: 200 solves
Skewb: 200 solves

I might be able to go to the comp I mentioned before, which would mean I have comps on December 30 and January 20. Also I might switch what events I do each day. While also learning full OLL for 3x3 and other various algs

YES FINALLY A SUB-9!!!!!!!

Honestly it felt like "oh, this seems like a sub-10," but I didn't think it was this good! And I didn't +2 it this time

Does anyone have any insight as to how fast my cross should be? I average 12.
Don't worry about cross too much, as long as you know how to insert multiple pieces, solving the layer and then aligning it, planning it out all in inspection, and then solving the cross 8 moves or less each time (or at least 99% of the time) you should be good. If you're Sub-12 I'd worry about Cross+1 more and lookahead.
