I want a rubik's domino. I lost a few auctions on ebay for them. Anyway, I was mixing my cube up as if it were a domino (doing all double turns except top and bottom face) and I kinda thought it'd be cool to make a solution to a standard 3x3x3 using the same solution as that of the domino on this page... http://www.geocities.com/jaapsch/puzzles/domino.htm.

I actually enjoy solving like this.. The first step, which is not on the site for the domino, is setting the cube up like one, which would require two opposite faces (I use white and yellow) to have only those two colors. Edges are easy to do that with but corners can get a little messy.. like when theres only one that needs to be oriented on both faces.

If you have any input, I think it'd be a pretty cool way to solve the cube.

Oh, and also after you solve the two opposite sides, you'd need to solve the last 4 edges. This can be easily explained on a corners first site.

I use the alg M U2 M' U2 for a three edge cycle.
Then for the orientation of two edges in the top layer I do (M U M U M U2) (M' U M' U M' U2). It's pretty simple.

And for the corners on the top layer I use an alg I learned for the square-1. It swaps the two back corners and the back and right edges on both faces. If you use it twice, once to put two corners next to each other, then rotate the top layer so that those two are in front the second time will swap all the back corners into place.
