For many years cubers have asked me to make a video tutorial for the Rubik's Cube solution I devised in 1980. I previously made one explaining how I invented the solution but not an actual tutorial for it....until now. I am also setting a challenge which is explained at the end.
This is an outline of my method-

1. Complete top side
2. Orientate the other corners
3. Position the other corners
4. Insert bottom edge pairs
5. Complete middle layer

Sorry for the late reply. My only internet access is through libraries, and the one closer to work has the sound disabled, and no headphones. The branch closer to my house is better equipped.

First, I want to thank you for speaking clearly in complete sentences and turning the cube slowly enough that I can see what you're doing. In my experience, this is depressingly rare in cubing tutorials.

You are also, of course, to be commended for solving it yourself. I got a cube in 1982 and got as far as solving one layer, but but there I stuck until I bought a solution booklet. I didn't follow that method exactly, but I did steal the algorithms. The only algorithms I discovered for myself back then were M2 U2 M2 U2 and R2 U2 R2 U2 R2 U2, and they weren't very useful for the method I ended up with.

I've never seen your method for solving the edges of one layer before, although strangely enough, as I was lying awake in bed last night, I realized that I could use R2 U2 in a different method to solve the middle layer intuitively without scrambling the corners. You only beat me by 43 years :p.
