Guys anyone wonder why the hell its so hard to find a speedcuber thats worse or even rarer better than you?? Have you ever found a speedcuber in public??? I only have once.

Do you go around asking people if they speedcube? If not, then how do you know when somebody passes by you that they don't cube?

People don't exactly cube in public- i rarely cube in public because i know how annoying other people find the sound.

The obvious response to this would be that competitions have vast amounts of speedcubers, and it is likely that you have a competition near you.

Yeah i mean like if you have seen somone cube only once i saw a beginner with an rs3m

I only have once, and that was when I was very new to cubing last summer so ofc he was much faster than me. Other than that I have 2 cubing friends, one that quit cubing a few months ago and one who was inspired to get into cubing by me, but doesn't care for speedcubing (despite having a gan12 lol) (I'm gonna get him into speedcubing one of these days)

I have once met a cuber on roblox but unfortunately due to the new chat restrictions I can’t talk to him

i saw like 50 cubers at a competition venue 13 times (jk)

I only saw two cubers in public, one was in the hospital (from the cube he was using it may have been a Valk Elite), i didn’t approach him though because i don’t like socializing (i always get a nervous feeling)
and one in the retail store (he was holding an RS3M Super)

i also saw leo borromeo’s mom at the grocery store once

And we were driving past a university and then i saw one of our organizers

so really that’s three cubers

I cube In public all the time because I love seeing people stare at me while I solve. It can be kinda creepy, but I just find it neat that people are so oblivious of their surroundings when they don’t look, but still complain about the noise… that happens a lot lol
