Small thing on wiki PLLs

Badmephisto, that is an excellent idea.

i think so too, but i dont think its that easy because passwords are stored encrypted somewhere in the forum configuration files. Wiki uses a whole different set of logins, and maybe doesn't even encrypt them the same way... so theres all kinds of difficulties.

QUESTION:
would it be possible to join the logins of the wiki to the ones in this forum? So at least everyone from this forum can instantly contribute to wiki no problems?

Another idea: just implement captcha for anonymous user edits.

To further prevent spam, some pages that don't need much more editing (i.e., notation) could be locked so only select users can edit those.

I remember when I setup the Wiki, I was thinking it would be nice to have all the logins moved over. However, at the time, it was open so you didn't have to login. For the time being, it may be better I look into ways to prevent spam for non-login editing rather than try to merge the wiki and forum login database.
