You stop the timer incorrectly.

Well, there's nothing to say except if you want to consider that a legit solve, you would be a lair. I honestly think the rules are a little strict when it comes to magic, but, they have to be in case something like this happens. My point is, since this wasn't at a comp, you're not going to get punished for it, but that doesn't make it right.
